Random Thoughts:
Saturday is mine and David’s 22nd anniversary. GAH! Saying that makes me feel so old. I feel like I should only be 22 and in reality I’m old enough to actually HAVE a 22 year old. And grandchildren. I’m old enough to have grandchildren. That actually kind of makes me sick to my stomach.
We will be celebrating our anniversary with a romantical (HA!) trip to the water park with both of our children. I’ll probably end up sharing a bed with James and he will end up sharing one with Cady (because James sleeps like me and Cady sleeps like David).
Don’t try scoping my house out. We’ve got super nosy neighbors and my mom will be keeping an eye on things.
A Photo Just Because:
Last night I made this insert for my camera that fits inside my handbag. I want to take my camera to BlogHer, but I don’t want to take that huge camera bag with me because it is so heavy. It was easy to make. I just cut one inch foam to the size of my camera. Then I hot glued some cute fabric around the foam. Lastly, I hot glued some velcro to the fabric covered foam pieces and stuck them together. I ran it by my boss (the camera expert), and he assured me that my camera will be safe and snug.
Stuff I Did This Week:
Tuesday Cady and I reviewed a new toy that will be released to the market at the end of this month. Wednesday we talked about BlogHer 2012 and what my goals are for the conference this year. Yesterday I guest posted for Gigi and let y’all in on one of my aspirations.
Some Great Stuff I Read:
- Oh my heart.. This post, Target Practice, by Dana was just so beautiful and heart wrenching and full of thought. It is an absolute must read.
- After that you are going to need a laugh so go read this post by Crappy Pictures, That Time I Tried On Spanx And Almost Called 911. If you aren’t crying laughing by the end of it I’m not sure we can be friends.
- If you haven’t heard, the firestorm in the social media world over the last week has been a post written by a recent college graduate about how all social media managers should be under 25. Poor thing. She had it handed right back to her all over the web. I’m just hoping she learned from her mistake.
Pray I don’t get a sunburn and I’ll catch on Monday!

Wow! 22 years!!! Congratulations!!! I hope you all have a great time. Wear lots of sunscreen. It is no fun to celebrate when you feel like your skin has been set on fire.
