Random Thoughts:
If you have been following blogging news you have probably heard the buzz about Feedburner. Some people say it is going away completely, and some people just say that it will no longer be updated. The truth is that only people that really know what is going to happen with are the Google executives, and even if they have made a decision to keep it who knows when they will change their minds. Therefore, I have shifted all of my feeds to Feedblitz.
If you have previously subscribed through RSS then nothing should change for now, but if Google decides to do away with Feedburner I may stop appearing in your reader. If you would like you can subscribe to the my new feed —> here or subscribe by email by entering your email address in the box in the sidebar.
Based on information I saw in the survey y’all completed for me a lot of you subscribe through Facebook. That’s awesome (thank you very much!), but just as an FYI, Facebook does not always send everything to your wall that I post (asshats). I will NOT be paying to promote my posts, and I see a future where that may be the only way you see anything. I’m sorry about that. Right now I don’t really know of a good way to make sure you see everything I post. If I hear about one I’ll let you know.
A Photo Just Because:
Monday I took the cat to the vet to have her spade. The poor little thing was so drunk when she got home. I felt so bad for her that I swaddled her up and kept her on the couch next to me until I went to bed. Thankfully she is back to herself.
Stuff I Did This Week:
Monday I wrote about how James ran away from home. Tuesday I wrote the next post in the series about my relationship with my dad. On Wednesday I told you all about a cool new iPad app that teaches kids how to stand up to bullies, and yesterday I raised my hand for girls around the world..
Some Great Stuff I Read:
I’m not sure why I haven’t been reading or sharing as much. I’m so sorry about that. I promise I will get back to myself soon. One thing I did read this week was an op-ed by Paul Krugman, The Truth About Jobs. Of course I loved that.

After you posted that question on facebook, I began to search for posts and they weren’t coming up. Status updates were, but not links to MMILE.
Didn’t Google already take away a means of following blogs once already this year? Surely, they wouldn’t eliminate another. Would they?
I wish I could get a job as a “pundit”. I’m not sure of the whole job description, but they seem to enjoy a much higher word count.
Google eliminated the “Followers” widget earlier this year. I think they are trying to push everyone subscribing through Google+.
already already
Feedblitz costs money, right? I hate having to pay attention to stuff like that so I may just not.
Hope you have a good weekend.
It costs if your email subscribers exceed a certain amount (mine don’t), but not for regular RSS subscribers.
I’ll admit, I’m tempted to try that “promote” thing on Facebook, pay the $10, just to see how much more traffic I would get…Have you heard of anyone trying it?
I’ve heard from a few people that have tried and they all said they didn’t see that big of a difference. Maybe a few more likes on their page?
