Until April, I had not had professional photos of the kids made since James was six months old. I know, right?! Crazy town. I decided I needed to rectify that PDQ, but who to use? I went to Facebook and asked all of my local friends and there was a resounding recommendation for Callie of Callie & Co. I was pleased with her portfolio and made an appointment.
Callie is a sweetheart. The photo session was the first time we met, but we’ve since became Facebook friends. She is smart and funny, which means she is my kind of people. When she came to do our photo shoot she had just found out she was pregnant after going through a struggle with infertility. We talked the rest of the shoot about infertility, pregnancy and babies.
Callie met us at a location I chose for some outdoor photos of the kids. I was very, very pleased. I loved ALL of the shots she took. Of course that was when the hard part came. How could I choose which were my favorites?
It was taking so long for me to decide that finally I just asked her if I could get them all on CD. She told me that of course I could and even gave me a copyrite release (and permission to post these images on my blog so don’t go thinkin’ I’m stealin’).
Then of course the lazy and the busy set in and more and more time went by without me ordering any of the photos. In August I was contacted by Easy Canvas Prints. They asked if I would like to do a review of a gallery wrapped canvas. I jumped all over that opportunity.
I like the Easy Canvas Prints website, and the ordering process could not have been easier. The website walked me through everything. If you can upload photos to Facebook then you can totally do this.
My canvas came in this week and I could not be happier with it. The colors are accurate and the quality feels really great. The backing is secured really well, and the wrapping did not cut off any of the original image.
I love how light it is. I was able to use 3M command strips to hang it on the wall in my office. Now the view right above my monitors is an image sure to make me smile every time I look at it.
(Forgive my not so awesome photo of showing how great this really looks in person.)

I am so glad you liked Callie, she used to work for my husband and then she has always taken our photos. I have picture too that I need to get printed, so maybe if I win this canvas it will give me the jump start I need.
She is awesome, and just so, so sweet.
I’m smiling and shaking my head because I just realized earlier this week that we have no professional pictures of all three kids (and the ones of the girls were done when they were 5 and 2). It’s tacky to throw a sheet on the wall and take some myself, huh? (I am so serious, except not if you think it’s tacky).
I love canvas prints! I’ve always wanted one of anything but whenver I see them in stores they’re so expensive (the reason we haven’t had pro pictures done in 8+ years!).
I do NOT think that is tacky. How do you think I’ve been taking photos since he was six months old?
I love canvas prints. I have some already but would love more!
Oh the photos are great – she did a wonderful job capturing your cuties!
