Project 365, Week 33

Monday I caught up with my Reader.

blogging

Now I’m not saying I didn’t delete some things and skim, but still… I got caught up. Of course as of today I’m behind again.

all about me

Y’all already know about Tuesday. It is feeling much better today. I can actually take a shower without wanting to tear up from the stinging. Bonus? I will be much more sympathetic the next time one of the kids gets a scrape.

toys and games

Wednesday night I was working on a review post. Procrastination for the win!

around the house

Thursday I bought this little antique table for my dining room. I like it because it is smaller than my other table, but also has sections to pull out to make it longer. The kids had glue and paint all over my other table from doing crafts. I moved that table to the “craft room” I’m working. I’ll have more about that later. Eventually.

all about me

Friday I took the time to actually roll my hair, which is one of the reasons I grew it out long in the first place.

school

Saturday we did some back to school shopping. Of course Cady begged and begged for me to take her to Justice. There is so much glitter and sparkle in that store it looks like they had a stripper convention.

That was our last week. Now on to this week. And can I just say it is already getting off to a bang up start. That was sarcasm.

Comments

  1. I spent some time in Justice last week too. I still can’t get the glitter off of my skin.

    • Just the GLITTER and the SPARKLE!!!! So insane. Some of it is so, so inappropriate thought. I saw one hot pink mini skirt covered in sequins. I held it to show David and said, “why don’t we just go ahead and take her on down to work the corner.” I don’t mind the glitter and sparkle so much, but I really wish they would think more about how some of it is just not right for their target market.

  2. So glad to hear I’m not the ONLY one who gets behind on my Reader.

And I tend to lose sleep over that. I feel guilty for some reason. Like I’m not answering the phone when a friend calls or waiting until the last minute to call them back.

I’m trying to catch up now…I’m kinda drowning.

And BTW…my nieces used to love Justice. Not sure what they’re into now…but both of them used to think no other store existed. Whoever started that place has it going on.

    • Oh, and I forgot to write that they had two cute teenage boys working in there. Just brilliant. Although when the one asked me if I needed any help, I said, “OMG you work here?!” And then I busted out laughing in his face. That was awesome.

  3. Love the hair, so “old Hollywood”! And the stripper comment about Justice cracked me up. Surely that store will no longer exist in a few years when K would want that stuff, RIGHT!?!?!?

    • OMG, I thought old Hollywood when I saw my hair curling like that in the photo too. I promise it did not look that cool in person.

Oh I’m sure K will never want the glitter or the sparkle. *ahem* But truly you may get lucky. My niece would have sooner poked out her eyeballs when she was a kid than walk in that store.

  4. My oldest used to love Justice and now my youngest does, but they seldom find anything they actually want to wear there. So we just spend endless amounts of time wandering around.

I love the table. We have totally ruined ours with way too much crafty stuff, too.

    • Oh Cady finds plenty she wants to wear. Just a lot of it is stuff that I will either not let her wear or I think is too expensive for what it is. I did buy her a pair of really cute colored jeans with a tunic top. I saw some cute sweats outfits too, but it is just way too hot for that here until maybe December (if we’re lucky) or January.

  5. I apparently missed your Tuesday post. I had some awful scrapes/cuts from my softball incident earlier this summer. So not fun…and SO much pain. I hope your’s heals quickly.

    LOVE your long hair.

  6. I am so glad you are feeling better. The new table looks wonderful. Oh! I would love to have a craft room.

  7. We discovered Justice ‘just as’ the girls outgrew it, so I’ve never had the pleasure.

    Cute table.
