Happy father’s day and birthday to David!
We left Monday for a work conference and the weather was horrible. I had to drive in bad rain for a little over an hour. Not to mention it was storming when I was loading the minivan with all of our conference materials. So smart of me to bring those home on Friday to save time.
This mannequin head was in the window of the gift shop at the hotel. It scared the hell out of me. I promise, this photo does not do it justice.
We were very busy conferencing. You can see my boss sitting at the other end of the table.
Thursday we went to see the Texas A&M Bonfire Memorial before we started for the day.
Friday I was back home with the family. I’m pretty sure James grew about a foot while I was gone.

James is just such a cutie.
How was the conference?
The conference was excellent. It was seriously the best work conference I’ve been too in years.
That mannequin is scary!!!
It was terrifying. Then I showed that photo to Cady last night and she kept trying to make that face and it was hilarious.
Mannequins have always scared me.
Someone gave the girls the kind of styling head cosmetology students use. That thing used to scare me to death all the time. They left it on the floor or the bathroom counter or lying on their beds. Sweet Baby Hay Sooce in the Manger.
That pic of David and James is so sweet, I won’t need to put sugar in my cereal til Sunday.
Cady had one of those toy Barbie heads that used to scare me to death. I took it to Goodwill.
I loved that picture of James on Instagram. He looks like such a happy boy since his momma is back!
Considering how long he had to stand there for me to get just the right shot, he must have been happy I was home. LOL
Oh yeah, that mannequin is too much!!! ACK!!
Glad you stayed safe in the rain. And now we need some more!
Those are really awesome pictures! I think there are a lot of people who will show admiration and amazement for this.. Actually, I just love this post so much!
It always feels like my kids grew whenever I’m gone for a few days!
