Yesterday I flew to Charlotte for a work conference. I saved my copy of Confessions of a Scary Mommy to read on the plane. I’m so glad I did because it was the perfect friend to take along with me. Yes. Friend. Because reading it was exactly like sitting down and talking it out with a friend. It was so laugh out loud funny in certain points that I had to share excerpts with the person sitting next to me on the plane. And my boss. For real.
Jill’s blog, Scary Mommy, was one of the first that I ever started reading. I can even remember the very first post I read (hint, it was the one where Evan gave her a bloody nose). Being that I had my very own six month old at the time I knew that I had met a kindred spirit.
Jill is one of the most genuine, honest, and awesome people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Her book reflects all of that. It will be for sale in book stores starting April 3rd. Go buy a copy. Or order it from Amazon or Barnes and Noble or Indie Bound. You can read an excerpt of the book here or watch the book preview here.
