Coming home

I’m back home. Yippee! David and Bud were outside when I got home yesterday from my work trip. Bud made me stop the car so he could climb in. His first words to me when I got home? “Momma! You home. What you bring me?” It is so nice to be missed.

At least he liked the rubber alligator I brought home for him. He has carried it around non-stop, took a bath with it last night, slept with it, and took it to daycare this morning. Baby Girl got a Mardi Gras mask that I had to inform her she could NOT wear to school today. And don’t think I left out David. He got pralines. His favorite type of candy. Of course after he ate one he assured me they weren’t as good as mine. Which I knew he would do.

Of course coming home wasn’t all happy for everyone. My coworker found out yesterday morning that his dog, Zeus, had passed away during the night. He had been sick so Rick knew that he probably wouldn’t live much longer, but it was made even worse by the fact that he was out of town and his wife had to deal with it all on her own. I felt to so bad for both of them, but especially her. Please send some prayers and virtual hugs to Rick and his wife, Bec, today.

That’s all I’ve got for now. I need to get busy. Work doesn’t stop just because you go to a conference for three days.

    I've been up since 5am with a sick kid…and I'm sick.

I thought you wrote that you brought David PANTIES!

Glad you're home and the family missed you!

Welcome home. Love that Bud asked what you brought him. My kids do that too!

I feel so bad for your coworker and his family. Losing a pet sucks.

Glad to hear you are home safe, but so sad to hear about your coworker's dog.

Well, it's a good thing you brought him something then isn't it?!

My main reason for not wanting to get a dog is the fact that it might die. I don't touch the dead, creeps me out. I had a rabbit die when I was in middle school & I left it lying on the floor of my bedroom until my mom came and got it. I mean I loved that little critter and all but, ew.
